Amaze are a great local service for families with disabled children and young people. They offer a range of services including assistance with making Personal Independance Payment (PIP) applications.

They have a helpful Facebook community and offer more information on sensory processing on the link below. There is also recommended reading and services at the bottom of this fact sheet.

Cbeebies helps your child chill out!

We love the way Cbeebies have approached mindfulness for parents (and carers!) and children.

There is a wealth of advice and activities for taking time out from the world.

Check out their ‘Daydreams’ video of slow visuals and relaxing sounds. They have yoga and exercises, techniques and ideas to calm, focus, sleep and more!

We think this is great for little ones and for many of our older pupils too! Check it out here:

Sensory Ideas for everyone!

Older kids need sensory toys too! There can be a perception that children will grow out of sensory sensitivities. This is often not the case and as we grow we need to keep checking what works for us to develop strategies to manage in different situations.

This website have developed a list of Sensory toys for adults which might help give ideas for older pupils transitioning to college and for new options you may never have considered!
